Nurse Hasumi (ナース蓮実 Naasu Hasumi) is the nurse in the Camp of the Labyrinth. If the player talks to her, she will tell Quote that she used to work in the Labyrinth Clinic before it got haunted.

Physical appearance

Both Nurse Hasumi and Doctor Gero are implied to be the same species of a frog. She has big black eyes, white little details in the cheek and orange arms. She wears a nurse hat and orange shoes, which is refined to resemble some kind of petite shoes in the remastered graphics. She seems to be smiling in the remastered graphics, too.

Plot

The nurse has her active partner, Dr. Gero, she seems to only take care of the people, and mainly trust Gero to take care of the other things, as seen when she tells Quote to do whatever he says.

The place she is located, at the Labyrinth Camp, doesnt seems to be originally a clinic, but she (and probably Doctor Gero too), had to escape from the ghosts and run to there.

Dialogues

The first time Quote talks to Nurse Hasumi, she will introduce herself and tell about the ghost that haunted her old clinic, she also asks the player if they are Curly Brace's friend. The ghost that haunted Hasumi was probably Puu Black, they are also seen on the old Clinic as she mentions it and is a boss in Cave Story. After Quote acquires the Cure-All and gives it to the Doctor, she congratulates Quote for doing the necessary to help Curly and will ask the player if they have seen any ghosts still remaining at the Labyrinth Clinic. After Curly is supposedly cured and goes to the Boulder Chamber, she will say for the rest of the game:

• Here for a visit with your friend? If that's who you're looking for, she headed out in the general direction of the Boulder Chamber.

Trivia

• Nurse Hasumi Halloween sprites are based off the scratched character from the Cave Story beta, Prince Frog. She originally is the same in the Beta version according to leaks from pixel, but Nicalis decided to make it follow the same color schemes and details from the Prince Frog, matching Dr. Gero's Halloween outfit, too.
• She isn't seen using her shoes at the credits art.
• She is the most potential character to use the unused script line from the Camp, giving the player advice to beat Monster X, as she doesn't have much lines in the vanilla game and the words on it are similar to what she would say.
